Web Design and Logos, They Go Hand In Hand
A company’s logo is supposed to capture the essence of the company, more so than a company’s web design. Its supposed to show what a company is all about. Just like any web design, logo design varies as widely as industries do, large technology based corporation may look for a logo that uses sharp lines, gradients, mirrored effects etc., while a different corporation in the same field may choose to use a clean design, with smooth lines, and soft textures. The web design of these sites would not differ very much from their logos.
When most designers create a web design, they look to the logo for the most information on how the rest of the design should play out. For example the colors in a company logo would most likely be utilized throughout the rest of the site; if the logo is blue and white, then the web design would feature shades of blue and spaces of white. A logo using sharp lines, would work best in a web design with sharp lines, images and media. As you can see any strong web design is based on a strong logo.
